This antibody was validated for use in Immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. |
| Background | Ube1L is a member of the E1 ubiquitin-activating enzyme family. It is a retinoid target that triggers promyelocytic leukemia (PML)/retinoic acid receptor alpha (RARalpha) degradation and apoptosis in acute promyelocytic leukemia. It has been reported that Ube1L acts as the activating enzyme in the ISG15 conjugation pathway. ISG15 is an ubiquitin-like protein and its transcription is induced by interferon treatment. |
