| Applications | Immunohistochemistry on frozen and paraffin embedded sections: 1/500-1/1000, anti-Tau (Clone:TAU-2) intensely stains human neurofibrillary tangles, neuropil threads and neuritic plaques. The antibody also stains astrocytes and ribosomes.
Tau-2 may be used with formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human brain tissue. Immunofluorescence. |
| Specificity | Anti-r-Tau recognizes an epitope of the (Mr 52-68 kDa) microtubule associated protein tau in bovine brain (1).
The TAU-2 antibody reacts with tau in the phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms in human, bovine monkey and chicken. |
| Storage | Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
