| Background | Cytokeratin 20 is less acidic than other type I cytokeratins and is of interest due to its more restricted expression in tissue. Cytokeratin 20 is expressed primarily in gastric and intestinal epithelium, urothelium and Merkel- cells. Cytokeratin 20 is expressed in adenocarcinomas of colon, stomach, pancreas and the bile system. |
