| CD200 RPE Antibody | |
| Background | Recognises CD200, a monomorphic determinant expressed on rat thymocytes, brain, follicular dendritic cells in all lymphoid organs, endothelium and at low levels on some smooth muscle and B-lymphocytes (2). The antigen recognised is a heavily glycosylated glycoprotein of 47kD in thymocytes and 41kD in brain (3,4). This antibody is a useful marker for the follicular dendritic cells in lymphoid tissues as it does not label the dendritic (interdigitating) cells in T-areas that are Ia antigen positive (2). |
