| Recombinant Human BCA-1/BLC (CXCL13) | |
| Alternate names | B cell Attracting Chemokine-1, CXCL13, BLC (mouse), BLR1 Ligand
|
| Background | BCA-1/BLC, a CXC chemokine, is expressed in the liver, spleen, lymph nodes, appendix and stomach. It exerts its activities through its only receptor CXCR5. BCA-1/BLC is a potent chemoattractant for B lymphocytes and induces weak chemotactic response in T cells and macrophages. It manifests no activity on neutrophils and monocytes. |
| Immunogen | Swiss Num.: O43927 |
| Source | E. coli |
| Format | State: Lyophilized purified fraction (>98% pure by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses) without additives. Endotoxinlevel: < 0.1 ng per µg (1EU/µg) Reconstitution: Restore in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 2-8°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. |
| Description | Recombinant Human BCA-1 is a protein containing 87 amino acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CXC chemokines. AASequence: VLEVYYTSLR CRCVQESSVF IPRRFIDRIQ ILPRGNGCPR KEIIVWKKNK SIVCVDPQAE WIQRMMEVLR KRSSSTLPVP VFKRKIP Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human B cells using a concentration range of 1.0-10.0 ng/ml. Molecular weight: 10.3 kDa |
| Add. Information | Centrifuge the vial prior to opening! |
| Storage | Store the lyophilized protein at -20°C.
Reconstituted BCA-1 should be stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
