Datasheet Extract
| Polyclonal Antibody to Ferret IgA alpha// (alpha chain specific) | |
| Concentration | 1.1 mg/ml (by UV absorbance at 280 nm) |
| Immunogen | Ferret IgA α chain specific. |
| Format | State: Liquid (sterile filtered) purified Ig fraction. Purification: Immunoaffinity chromatography. BufferSystem: 0.1 M Sodium Borate, 0.005 M EDTA, 0.075 M Sodium Chloride, pH 8.0 with 0.01% sodium azide as preservative. |
| Applications | Suitable for Immunoprecipitation, Immunodiffusion, Conjugation and most immunological methods requiring lot-to-lot consistency, high titer and specificity.
Recommended Dilutions: This product has been assayed against 1.0 µg of Human IgA in a standard capture ELISA using HRP Donkey-anti-Goat IgG [H&L] (minimum cross reactivity) and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:4,000 to 1:16,000 is suggested for this product. |
| Specificity | This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Ferret IgA coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum, Ferret IgA and Ferret Serum. No reaction was observed against Ferret IgG or Ferret IgM. Specificity was confirmed by ELISA at less than 1% cross reactivity against other Ferret heavy or light chain isotypes. |
| Storage | Store the antibody (undiluted) at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer.
Dilute only prior to immediate use. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: One year from despatch. |
