Datasheet Extract
| Concentration | 1.0 mg/ml (by UV absorbance at 280 nm) |
| Immunogen | Rat IgG F(c) whole molecule. |
| Format | State: Lyophilized F(ab')2 fragments. Purification: Immunoaffinity chromatography. BufferSystem: 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2 with 10 mg/ml Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA, IgG and Protease free) as stabilizer and 0.01% (w/v) Gentamicin Sulfate as preservative. Label: Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP). Reconstitution: Restore with 0.5 ml of deionized water (or equivalent) |
| Applications | Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western, or dot blot, 1:20,000-1:200,000), ELISA (1:20,000-1:200,000), Immunoperoxidase electron microscopy and Immunohistochemistry (1:500-1:5,000) as well as other peroxidase-antibody based enzymatic assays requiring extremely low background levels, absence of F(c) mediated binding, lot-to-lot consistency, high titer and specificity.
Recommended Dilution(s): This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Rat IgG in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. |
| Specificity | This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by Immunoaffinity chromatography using Rat IgG coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities, pepsin digestion and chromatographic separation.
Assay by Immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Goat Serum, Rat IgG, Rat IgG F(c) and Rat Serum. No reaction was observed against anti-Pepsin, anti-Goat IgG F(c), Rat IgG F(ab')2 or Bovine, Horse, Human Serum Proteins. |
| Storage | Store vial at 2-8°C prior to restoration. Restore with 0.5 ml of deionized water (or equivalent). For extended storage add glycerol to 50% and then aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for one month at 2-8°C as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute only prior to immediate use. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: One year from despatch. |
| Caution | Use of sodium azide as a preservative will
substantially inhibit the enzyme activity of horseradish peroxidase. |
