Label: R-Phycoerythrin (R-PE) isolated from a culture of red algae. Subunit structure - (??)6? Apparent Molecular Weight - 240 kDa (alpha 20 kDa, beta 20 kDa, gamma 30 kDa). Phycobiliprotein Concentration: 0.5 mg/ml (determined by absorbance = 82.0 at 565 nm for a 1% solution for only those R-PE molecules to which at least one molecule of active antibody is bound). | Specificity | This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by Immunoaffinity chromatography using Rat IgG coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities, pepsin digestion and chromatographic separation.
Assay by Immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Phycoerythrin, anti-Donkey Serum, Rat IgG and Rat Serum. No reaction was observed against anti-Pepsin, anti-Donkey IgG F(c), Bovine, Chicken, Goat, Guinea Pig, Syrian Hamster, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit or Sheep Serum Proteins. |
