| Immunogen | Rat IgM mu heavy chain. |
| Format | State: Lyophilized F(ab')2 fragments Purification: Immunoaffinity chromatography. BufferSystem: 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2, with 0.01% (w/v) Sodium Azide as preservative and 10 mg/ml BSA (IgG and Protease free) as stabilizer Label: R-Phycoerythrin (R-PE, MW 240,000 daltons) isolated from seaweed. Phycobiliprotein concentration: 0.5 mg/ml (determined by absorbance = 82.0 at 565 nm for a 1% solution for only those R-PE molecules to which at least one molecule of active antibody is bound). Absorptionemission: 490 nm, 545 nm and 565 nm / 580 nm Reconstitution: Restore with 1.0 ml of deionized water (or equivalent). |
| Applications | Suitable for immunomicroscopy and flow cytometry as well as other antibody based fluorescent assays requiring extremely low background levels, absence of F(c) mediated binding, lot-to-lot consistency, high titer and specificity.
Recommended dilutions: The maximum amount of reagent required to stain 1 x 10e6 cells in flow cytometry is approximately 1.0 µg of antibody conjugate. Lesser amounts of reagent may be sufficient for staining. As a general guideline dilutions of 1:50 to 1:200 should be suitable for most applications. |
| Specificity | This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by Immunoaffinity chromatography using Rat IgM coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities, pepsin digestion and chromatographic separation.
Assay by Immunoelectro-phoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Phycoerythrin, anti-Goat Serum, Rat IgM, and Rat Serum. No reaction was observed against anti-Pepsin, anti-Goat IgG F(c), Rat IgG F(c) or human, bovine or horse serum proteins. |
| Storage | Store vial at 2-8°C prior to restoration.
Restore with deionized water (or equivalent); centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable at 2-8°C as an undiluted liquid. DO NOT FREEZE. Protect from light. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Shelf life: six months from despatch. |
