| Background | FZD7, a Frizzled Receptor, is a receptor for Wnt signaling proteins. FZD7 downregulates the functions of the tumor suppressor gene APC and thereby enhances beta catenin-mediated signals.
FZD7 expression has been reported in brain, gastrointestinal tract, heart, fetal kidney, fetal lung, placenta, skeletal muscle, and various cancers. ESTs have been isolated from a wide variety of normal and cancer libraries. |
