| Background | GPR12 has been identified as a constitutively active Lysophospholipid/Lysosphingolipid receptor.
GPR12 expression has been reported primarily in the central nervous system. Rat transcripts have been identified at low levels in testis and pituitary gland. ESTs have been isolated from human brain and eye libraries, as well as mouse brain, genitourinary tract, and liver libraries. Ligand is Sphingosine-1-phosphate (SPP) Caution: GPR12 is distinct from GPR12A, also known as OGR1, in cluster 3870. |
| Immunogen | Synthetic peptide - KLH conjugated
Epitope: C-terminal domain of human Genename: GPR12 Swiss Num.: P47775 Remarks: The immunizing peptide shows 93 % identity (100 % similarity) with mouse. |
| Format | State: Liquid Ig fraction Purification: Peptide immunogen affinity column BufferSystem: PBS, pH 7.7, containing 0.01% sodium azide |
| Applications | Western Blot.
Immunohistochemistry with formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues: 2-4 µg/ml Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100°C for 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1x TBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature. |
| Specificity | This antibody reacts with G Protein-Coupled Receptor GPR12
(family: GPCR; subfamily: Lysophospholipid/Lysosphingolipid) Species: Human, Mouse. |
| Add. Information | This product was originally produced by MBL International. |
| Storage | Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -70°C for longer.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
