| Background | Frizzled-3 (FZD3) is a Frizzled Receptor that mediates Wnt signaling. It is widely expressed, mostly in brain and urogenital tissues. FZD3 is also expressed in the epidermis and developing hair follicles. FZD3 has been implicated in the development of axon tracts in the forebrain. A truncated form of FZD3 exists due to alternative splicing.
FZD3 expression has been documented in blood, brain, colon, kidney, lung, lymph node, ovary, pancreas, skeletal muscle, skin, spinal cord, stomach, urogenital tract, and uterus. ESTs have been isolated from amnion, brain, colon, eye, heart, kidney, lymph, skin, and testis libraries. |

| Applications | Immunohistochemistry with formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues (5 µg/ml).
Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100°C for 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1x TBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature. |
