Datasheet Extract

D-aspartic acid-gluteraldehyde-BSA conjugate.
Application ELISA: 1/5000 - 1/10,000.
Background Aspartic acid (Asp), also known as aspartate is one of the 20 natural proteinogenic amino acids which are the building blocks of proteins. There are two abbreviations commonly used to designate aspartic acid: Asp (three letter) and D (one letter). As its name indicates, aspartic acid is the carboxylic acid analog of asparagine. It is non-essential in mammals, and might serve as an excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain. It is also a metabolite in the urea cycle, and participates in gluconeogenesis.
Storage Prior to reconstitution store at 2-8°C.
Following reconstitution store the antibody at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Shelf life: one year from despatch.
Ammonium sulphate precipitation
Ig fraction prepared by ammonium sulphate precipitation
Lyophilised purified IgG
Ig Fraction
50 µl distilled water + 50 µl glycerol
This antibody recognises D-aspartate (D-aspartic acid) and shows minimal reactivity with L-aspartate and L- & D-glutamate. This antibody has been adsorbed against BSA but only recognises conjugated D-aspartate, not free D-aspartate.
