Background DR3 (also known as Apo3, WSL-1, TRAMP, and LARD) is expressed on lymphocytes. DR3 is one of death domain containing receptors and shows close sequence similarity to TNF receptor I. Upon overexpression, DR3 triggers responses that resemble those of TNFRI, mainly, NF-kB activation and apoptosis. The ligand for DR3 has been identified as Apo3L.
