Immunogen
Immunogen:
Washed whole Erythrocytes were prepared from fresh blood and used for intravenous immunization.
Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Add. information Adsorption: Not required.
Application Immunoprecipitation.
Can be used to sensitize cells in hemolytic complement assays and for lymphocytic screening procedures.
Antibody titre: Hemolytic titre at which 50% lysis occurs following mixing of equal volumes of antiserum, Guinea Pig complement (at a dilution of 1/60) and 108 RBC/ml not less than 1/3,000 when tested with Sheep Erythrocytes.
Concentration Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal rabbit serum. No foreign proteins added.
Storage Store lyophilized at 2-8°C for 6 months or at -20°C long term.
After reconstitution store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month
or (in aliquots) at -20°C long term.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Shelf life: one year from despatch.

Cross-Reactivity: Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies since different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail.
