Application Immunohistology: 1/50 - 1/100. This antibody can be used on frozen sections and on formation-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. High tepmerature antigen demasker is recommended for formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections (Boiling tissue in 10 mM citrate buffer for 10-20 mins. Followed by cooling to RT). Prolonged fixation in buffered formalin can destroy the epitope. This antibody may be used at a dilution of 1:50-1:100 with Auto/Probe III (Cat. No. 08-803). Recommended positive control: Cell line infected with Herpes Simplex Virus type 1, HS1-3012, HS1-3006, HS2-4012, HS2-4006 (BION ENTERPRISES, Des Plaines, IL, USA). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Storage Store the antibody at 4°C. Do not freeze! Shelf life: one year from despatch.
This antibody recognizes specifically the antigen-positive liver cells in patients with Type B viral hepatitis. This antibody shows a cytoplasmic staining pattern in the infected cells. Reacts with No cross-reactivity was observed with CMW, EBV and adenovirus.

Aliquoting Instructions: Do not dilute the entire reconstituted solution at once. Withdraw aliquots as needed with a micropipette and keep concentrated stock at 4C. Dilute according to the particular application being used. In general, the 0.05M Borate pH 8.0 containing 0.15M Sodium Chloride, 0.05% Sodium Azide, is a good dilutent to use with most antibodies. Avoid diluting the entire contents of the vial at once since the diluted solution may have reduced stability.
