Does not react with peptidoglycan of Staph. aureus or peptidoglycan-rhamnose, nor does it react with pneumococcal polysaccharides.
Does not cross-react with E. coli or H. influenza type B.
LTA is a major pro-inflammatory structure present within the cell wall layer of most gram-positive bacteria.
