Add. information Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the 45kDa band we observe given the predicted size of approx. 24Kda according to NP_054897 in Western blot. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any splice variants/modified forms been reported?
Application Peptide ELISA: Limit Dilution: 1/32000.
Western blot: Experiments gave bands at both approx 25kDa and approx 45kDa in Human Brain extracts at 0.1 µg/ml.
Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 3-5 µg/ml. In paraffin embedded Human Kidney shows cytoplasm staining of PCT and DCT cells.
Background Amisyn forms non-fusogenic complexes with SNAP25 and STX1A and may thereby modulate the formation of functional SNARE complexes and exocytosis. It is detected at low levels in brain and at very low levels in heart, adrenal gland, testis, liver and kidney. There are three named isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
Concentration 0.5 mg/ml
General Readings 1. Scales SJ, Hesser BA, Masuda ES, Scheller RH.
Amisyn, a novel syntaxin-binding protein that may regulate SNARE complex assembly.
