Datasheet Extract

Purified human cardiac troponin I.
Mol. Wt. of Antigen: 21kD
Application - Immunohistochemistry 1:25-1:50.
For formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections high
temperature antigen demasking is required: Deparaffinize and rehydrate tissue sections. Buffer 10 mM citrate buffer pH 6.0. Boil 10-20 mins, followed by cooling 10-20 mins
Process tissue sections in pressure cooker for 5 mins in citrate buffer followed by cooling 10-20 mins to RT. Wash tissue sections with PBS.
Note: Prolonged fixation in buffered formalin can destroy the epitope.
This product can also be used on frozen tissue sections.
- Western Blotting 1:50-1:200.
- ELISA 1:500-1:1000.
- Immunoprecipitation.
Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Storage Store the antibody at 4°C. Do not freeze! Shelf life: one year from despatch.
Note: Do not dilute the entire reconstituted solution at once since the diluted solution may have reduced stability. Withdraw aliquots as needed with a micropipette and keep concentrated stock at 4°C. Dilute according to the particular application being used. In general, the 0.05M borate pH 8.0 containing 0.15M sodium chloride, 0.02% sodium azide, is a good dilutent to use with most antibodies.
This antibody is specific for human cardiac troponin subunit I, a 21 kD protein responsible for inhibiting actomyosin Mg2+-ATPase activity. This antibody has less than 0.1% reactivity with human skeletal TNI as measured by ELISA.
Other species not tested.
