Datasheet Extract

Synthetic peptide near N-terminus of XMRV envelope protein.
Add. information Molecular Weight: 69-75kDa
Application Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 1/100 for 10 min at RT.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in in EDTA buffe for 10 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Positive Control: Prostate carcinoma with XMRV infection.
Background Xenotropic murine leukemia virus-related virus (XMRV) is a newly recognized human retrovirus first identified in prostate cancer tissues from men with a deficiency in the innate immunity gene RNASEL. At present, studies have detected XMRV DNA and protein in prostate cancer at widely different rates and in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome. The XMRV protein is synthesized in the Golgi by host cells.
