|Manufacturer||Acris Antibodies GmbH|
|Material safety datasheet||MSDS for Polyclonal Antibodies (de)|
|Application||Rabbit IgG whole molecule can be utilized as a control or standard reagent in Western Blotting and ELISA experiments.|
|Background||Secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75% of serum immunoglobulins. Immunoglobulin G binds to viruses, bacteria, as well as fungi and facilitates their destruction or neutralization via agglutination (and thereby immobilizing them), activation of the compliment cascade, and opsinization for phagocytosis. The whole IgG molecule possesses both the F(c) region, recognized by high-afinity Fc receptor proteins, as well as the F(ab) region possessing the epitope-recognition site. Both heavy and light chains of the antibody molecule are present.|
|Concentration||10.0 mg/ml (by UV absorbance at 280 nm)|
|Storage||Store lyophilized at 2-8°C for 6 months or at -20°C long term.
After reconstitution store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month
or (in aliquots) at -20°C long term.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
