Background of ARMS / KIDINS220 antibody
KIDINS220 promotes a prolonged MAP-kinase signaling by neurotrophins through activation of a Rap1-dependent mechanism. Provides a docking site for the CRKL-C3G complex, resulting in Rap1-dependent sustained ERK activation. May play an important role in regulating postsynaptic signal transduction through the syntrophin-mediated localization of receptor tyrosine kinases such as EPHA4. In cooperation with SNTA1 can enhance EPHA4-induced JAK/STAT activation. May play a role in neurotrophin-and ephrin-mediated neuronal outgrowth and in axon guidance during neural development and in neuronal regeneration (By similarity). Modulates stress-induced apoptosis of melanoma cells via regulation of the MEK/ERK signaling pathway.

Western Blot: KIDINS220 Antibody [NBP1-50034] - Detection of Human ARMS by Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 mcg for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) and 293T (T; 50 mcg) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ARMS antibody used for WB at 0.1 mcg/ml (A) and 1 mcg/ml (B) and used for IP at 6 mcg/mg lysate. ARMS was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ARMS antibody which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated ARMS, the ReliaBLOT® Reagents and Procedures were used. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 30 seconds (B).
Western Blot: KIDINS220 Antibody [NBP1-50035] - Detection of Human ARMS by Western Blot of Immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ARMS antibod used for IP at 6 mcg/mg lysate. ARMS was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ARMS antibody which recognizes an upstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated ARMS was used at 1 mcg/ml, and the ReliaBLOT® Reagents and Procedures were incorporated. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.
