Background of DEPP antibody

The expression of this gene is induced by fasting as well as by progesterone. The protein encoded by this gene contains a t-synaptosome-associated protein receptor (SNARE) coiled-coil homology domain and a peroxisomal targeting signal. Production of the encoded protein leads to phosphorylation and activation of the transcription factor ELK1. [provided by RefSeq]. Immunohistochemistry: C10orf10 Antibody [20830002] - Normal tissues demonstrated cytoplasmic positivity. Weak to moderate cytoplasmic staining was detected in glandular epithelia. Neuronal tissue displayed nuclear positivity. Kidney tubules displayed strong immunoreactivity. Remaining tissues were generally negative. Among tumors, weak to moderate immunoreactivity was detected mainly in endometrial cancers, renal cancers, thyroid cancers, malignant melanomas and hepatocellular carcinomas.
